During the course of my career I have had cause to study a considerable amount of software and along the way I have found some software and services which I quite like. The software and services discussed here all have the following in common:
· A functional free version which allows you to gain confidence in the product prior to paying anything.
· Premium versions that are inexpensive and for some offer true gain over the free version.
· A business model which might work, meaning the software or service might be around for a little while.
· Services I personally use and feel confident in recommending.
